This is just a site where I can “play around” and see if I can learn about blogging. Of course I’m not sure why anyone would be interested in anything I have to say/blog.
I’m a 70-year-old retired metallurgical engineer and current Red Cross volunteer. I live in Cleveland, TN (near Chattanooga) where my wife and I relocated three years ago after our retirement. Prior to that we lived in Connecticut for several years and Ohio before that.
I have one son and two grandsons living in Rhode Island (my native state).

And a cat.
I’ll fill in more background later – this is just some starter text…
What do you basically do as a Materials Engineer at the Red Cross?
I WAS a materials engineer in the aerospace industry BEFORE I retired, but not in the Red Cross. However I do use my data analysis and computer skills as a Red Cross volunteer.
